Air Polution has been identified as one of the biggest threats to our environment & Satoshi Systems is working with researchers for a solution.
Air pollution has been one of the most conspicuous of all problems countries around the world face today. In particular, China’s Air Quality Index (AQI) has reached a dangerous level of 755, posing a major threat to public health. With China being the largest carbon emitter in the world, emitting around 30% of global emission, we are dedicated to build a new carbon trading platform in the hopes of significantly improving its air quality and economic welfare.
Our vision is to enhance the innovative capacity in mechanisms used to address this issue, and in turn bring overall improvement in quality of the environment. Having won a grant from Innovate UK* has been instrumental to expedite this exciting two-year project. This integrated intelligent air quality monitoring, analytic and carbon trading platform aims to effectively reduce carbon emissions in China. As an innovative high-tech company with a primary focus on the commodity trade finance market, we will implement state of art technology like machine learning and data mining for air quality and carbon analytics and predication models to further develop China’s carbon trading market.
The wireless sensors system required to provide timely scientific data and predictive analytics needed to enhance decision making for pollution control and reduction, is currently being developed on the combined advantages provided by three networks. It will be economical, installation-portable and will have easy information access with comprehensive air quality sensors for ozone, PM2.5, and carbon dioxide emissions linking directly to a carbon trading platform, which will be incorporated with industrial system sales. The carbon trading platform will act as a stand-alone software to industrial users to facilitate carbon trading and financing with commission revenue from carbon trades.
We will be working with Loughborough University and Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT). We each bring unique perspectives into this collaborative R&D project with a shared goal of taking a major step towards sustainable urban environment. Sought to build an agile business of industrial scale and quality, we will ensure rapid and secure manufacture of these sensors using cutting-edge technologies like machine learning. Though the project is still in its early phase, we are committed and excited at the opportunity to introduce innovative techniques and unique skill-sets in high hopes of delivering our ambition to establish a ‘next generation’ carbon trading platform which will benefit not just China, but also countries across the globe.
